DOMAINE DES GOURDINS covers one and half hectares on the outskirts of LIBOURNE.
   The soil is made up of siliceous sand with lies on a subsoil of ferruginous gravel, and the grape varieties are 60 % Merlot and 40 % Cabernet Franc. After a highly efficient vinification and aging in cask, they give a wine which is carmine red with tile colored shades ; the nose is marked by hint of game and venison, the initial taste is lively, the tannins are pronounced and the supple finish means that DOMAINE DES GOURDINS can be drunk young as well as retaining its potential for aging.
   The annual production is 800 cases.

   DOMAINE DE GACHET is a property which covers a hectare on the edge of the four great Libourne appellations in South-East of the Western slope and in the center of the main plateau of Néac, giving it the advantage of having the optimum amount of sun.
   Merlot and Cabernet Franc are planted in equal proportions on soil constituted of gravel and clay. After a very short harvest, a highly efficient vinification, a long maceration and having kept for about 20 months in oak barrels, they give a wine which is cherry red color with faints shades of topaz. It has a subtle aroma of truffles on the nose and a bouquet marked by hints of pepper and liquorice. The initial taste is a little hard with good tannins ; it is fully bodied with an excellent structure which gives a good potential for aging.
   The annual production is 500 cases.
