CHÂTEAU LA PAPETERIE, created in 1790, is the first property to the south of the Montagne Saint-Emilion area and stands at the crossroads of the four great Libourne appellations : Pomerol, Lalande-de-Pomerol, Saint-Emilion et Montagne Saint-Emilion, along the Barbanne, little river which divided Oc and Oil languages, on the bank where was a paper mill.

The vineyard covers 10 adjacent hectares (25 acres) on the hillsides and slopes which have a clay and calcareous clay soil on a subsoil of limestone and ferrous sandstone concretions known as « crasses ».

CHÂTEAU
LA PAPETERIE

After about 20 days in vats followed by aging 20 months in oak barrels, CHÂTEAU LA PAPETERIE gives a wine with salmon pink and vermilion shades, suave on the nose with bouquet showing hints of dried almonds and toast.

CHÂTEAU LA PAPETERIE is well balanced with a good aromatic persistence which promises an excellent aptitude for aging.
